TWO COMPONENT FLEXIBLE CRACK BRIDGING WATERPROOF COATING

ACEGUARD 2K is a flexible, two part and high performance acrylic polymer modified cementitious liquid applied waterproofing coating system. It comprises of a liquid polymer and a cement based mix incorporating special admixtures. This product can be used for both positive & negative side waterproofing due to its excellent bonding and superior waterproofing property.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Fresh masonry or concrete substrate must be allowed to cure for at least 14 days. Clean the area from all loose particles, oil, grease and any such deleterious materials. All surface cracks should be filled up with a paste of Cement and ACEGUARD BA mixed in ratio of 2:1 and applied using a trowel to seal the gaps.

APPLICATION

Add powder to liquid (2 parts powder & 1 part liquid) slowly while stirring. In case of bulk volume use mechanical stirrer. Mix the entire quantity until a smooth homogeneous slurry without lump is achieved. Keep the slurry undisturbed for 5-6 minutes to release entrapped air during mixing.

The surface of application must be pre-wetted thoroughly with water & brought to a touch dry state. Take up the first coat application with a stiff nylon brush. Work well into the substrate, to ensure that all small undulations are completely filled with the coating. Lay 50 gsm glass fiber mesh over the angle fillet when the first coat in still wet. 6 to 8 hrs. after completion of first coat, take up second coat application in a direction perpendicular to the first. Complete the application and leave to air cure for 3-5 days
