AMBISCREED

LIGHT WEIGHT INSULATION MIX FOR ROOF SCREED

Description

AMBISCREED is a light weight insulation mix which is ideal for over deck insulation and roof treatments. It consists of specially processed light weight aggregate (Low density glass like bubbles) formulated with special additives to enhance working and setting characteristics. When mixed screed is cured, it provides superior insulation to underneath layer that prevents heat transfers form one side to the other. It forms an inert, weather proof layer which is long lasting & saves air conditioning running cost up to 30%. It has excellent acoustic insulation properties which makes it a great product for soundproofing in areas close to airport and other high decibel region.

Fields of Application
  • Flat or Sloping roofs with varying thickness
  • Light weight sunken area filling
  • Light weight screed on Cantilever Balconies
  • Preparing base for water proofing application

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  • Excellent and life long lasting thermal and acoustic insulation
  • One fourth weight of normal screed reduces dead load on roof by 75%
  • Reduction in room temperature of around 6 to 8˚ C on a hot sunny day
  • Makes a perfect sloping base for all water proofing applications
  • Saves electricity cost to generate lifetime payback on investment
  • Non cracking and better waterproof characteristics than Brickbat coba
  • Can be applied with minimal surface preparation like roof screed

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Fresh masonry or concrete substrate must be allowed to cure for at least 14 days. Clean the area from all loose particles, oil, grease and any such deleterious materials.

APPLICATION

Mix 1 Bag (50 Kgs) PPC Cement with 2 Bags (30 Kgs) of AMBISCREED in a conventional bucket type concrete mixer to make light screed. Add 300 ml of ACEPLAST in 50 Liters clean potable water. Pour it all in concrete mixer and blend with light screed. Mark the levels using water level and install levelling screed patches for making slope. Apply prepared light screed in a continuous layer and level it using an aluminum channel profile. For large surfaces, use expansion joint boards to avoid expansion cracks.
